Student studying with a laptop and notebook

The summer assessment period begins on Monday 17th May 2021. Assessments this year have been designed according to the following formats:

  • Time-controlled exam: as on campus, but online, completed in a given time
  • Open Book Exam (Standard): exam-style assessment completed over a 24-hour period
  • Open Book Exam (Extended): exam style assessment completed over a longer period (up to five days)
  • Coursework: set during delivery of the module and completed by given deadlines.

Resources and support

The Library provides a range of academic support services to help you to achieve success in your studies.

KnowHow provides access to online tutorials throughout the year, covering topics such as Academic Writing, Referencing, Preparing for Exams, Time Management and more. Access the tutorials via the KnowHow: Study for success module on Canvas:

The  Liaison Librarian for your subject can also offer specialist support and advice for your subject. Book an online appointment with a Liaison Librarian through our appointments booking calendar.

You can also contact us 24/7 by emailing library@liverpool.ac.uk or on Library chat.
