Study Spaces in the VG&M

We’re delighted to announce that we have opened study spaces in the Victoria Gallery & Museum, the University’s beautiful red brick building that housed the University’s original Library.

Due to limited study spaces in the libraries, University of Liverpool staff and students can now book study spaces in the VG&M, open 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday. The building, located opposite the Harold Cohen Library, is currently only open for use of study spaces at this time and will reopen to the public later this year.

Enjoy the views of the building’s beautiful interior while studying and it may even open your eyes to a University building that you have never visited before.

Using the Study Spaces

As in the libraries, you must wear a mask at all times and adhere to the social distancing guidelines in place. There will be no access to printers, PCs or books reserved through the Click & Collect service if you are studying in the VG&M so please continue to use the libraries for these services. However, University wi-fi will be available so you can bring a laptop with you to use.

Don’t forget to check in when you arrive and check out when you leave so we know that you have used the space and if you are planning to book a study space in the VG&M, we suggest you hurry as we’re sure it will be a popular location! If you're not familiar with the VG&M, our virtual 360 tour will help you to find your way around.
