Library for Online Programmes

Advice for Library and IT support during campus Industrial Action (in Feb and March 2022)

Please note - the University campus is subject to Industrial Action by the University and College union during dates in Feb and March 2022, some typical Library support may be subject to a delayed response, please see the following current support options during this time:

  • The Library for Online Programmes can be used to log into and search for E-Resources.
  • For IT problems, your Library login or forgotten password help, you can contact our 24/7 IT Support Desk by email or telephone (chat is also available after logging into the CSD Helpdesk).
  • For video and webinars on searching the Library, locating an article, using DISCOVER or other sources and for bookable (or previously recorded) study/stats sessions, please see the Quick Start and Training page and Webinars page.
  • To look up a specific journal article, you can try supplying the full journal details using the Go to an Article tool, or search by title in DISCOVER, or for Open Access options try CORE or Scholar.
  • You can locate a required Library E-Book by title using DISCOVER or the Library Catalogue (search by title, author, ISBN). Note - if you are studying with our E-Learning partner, Kaplan Open Learning, some of your core texts may be available in your Vital Source bookshelf, please see the Student Portal for support using Vital Source.
  • For specialist resources such as theses, standards/ISOs, biomedical, legal, patents, market data or multimedia, please see the E-Resources area of the Library for Online Programmes (also see the 'Guides' tab in each page for advice).
  • For help with referencing styles such as Harvard (Cite them Right), APA or other styles and EndNote referencing software, see the Referencing page. Our Cite them Right online textbook provides advice for referencing styles and examples.
