Library guide to information and resources for Engineering

Using the Library

How many books can I borrow?
When is the Library open?
For answers to these questions and more see:

Welcome to your Library

Where are the books?

Engineering books are found in the basement at the rear of the Harold Cohen Library, on Ashton Street (building 431 on the Campus map).

Books are shelved in subject order:  Find the location of books by using Library Search.  This will tell you where in the library it is located (e.g. Harold Cohen Library Basement.)  Then find the class number on the shelf.

How do I find my recommended reading?

Use Reading Lists @ Liverpool.  Type in your module code or keywords from the title, or your lecturer's name.

Where are the journals?

To find journal articles on a subject use Library Search, or search an Engineering database like Compendex.

To find out if we have a particular journal, search for the journal title on Library Search
Many Engineering journals are available full-text online.

Engineering print journals are in the Brunswick Library Store.  Fill in a store request form.
