The University of Liverpool was founded by Royal Charter in 1903. The University of Liverpool Library, as part of Professional Services, aims to inspire scholarship by providing excellent collections, friendly expertise, innovative services and a welcoming environment. Our primary aim is to support staff and students of the University in all areas of their study and research.

Library Collections (Online and physical) are searchable through Library website. Application for re-use of these materials will be considered on a case by case basis. The Library service may place conditions upon re-use.
Documents which lie outside the Library’s Public Task Statement will not be accessible for re-use under the Regulations. These include documents:
- which are regulated by the Data Protection Act 1998
- which are accessible under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
- where copyright is owned by someone other than the University.
The University of Liverpool and its Heritage collections are not covered by the PSI regulations.
