Items are auto-renewed every 4 weeks unless requested by another customer. The only exception to this are Library Use Only books which can be used within the Library for reference purposes only. These are clearly labelled with a yellow sticker.
Once returned, items will be made available within 24 hours and will be held for 5 days. They are available for collection from designated shelves; information on the progress of a reservation is available from the Help Desk and via your Library Account.
Items borrowed from the Sydney Jones Library may be returned via the "Return" point on the ground floor near the entrance. Items borrowed from the Harold Cohen Library may be returned via the "Return" point on the ground floor opposite the reservation shelves. Items borrowed from Leahurst Library may be returned via the self-service points. Leahurst Library items may also be returned at the Harold Cohen or Sydney Jones libraries.
Self-service binding machines are available in the Harold Cohen and Sydney Jones libraries. A channel binding service is also available in both the Sydney Jones and Harold Cohen Libraries, 09.00-17.00.
At Leahurst Campus, binding is available at the CPD Office Leahurst House, Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00.
There are bookable study rooms available at the Sydney Jones and Harold Cohen Libraries. Book online or ask at the Help Desk.
The Leahurst Library has a silent study area, and a bookable seminar room for group sessions. Please book at CPD office, Leahurst House.

The Get it for me service gives access to material from other libraries which is not held by the University Library.
Self-service laptop loans are available at the Harold Cohen and Sydney Jones libraries.
Please note all laptops are for library use only.

There is a Photocopying/Delivery service for both colour and black and white copying. There is a charge for this service.
The printer/photocopiers are checked regularly. You can credit your print account online.
Faults are reported immediately during staffed hours. If you require further help in using the equipment please contact Library staff or see IT Service's printing information
Special Collections and Archives include manuscripts and archives, medieval to modern; early and finely printed books, and science fiction collections. The department is open 09:30-16.45 Monday to Friday.
