We have access to Proquest Disserations & Theses Index; Science Citation Index Expanded (from 1970), Social Sciences Citation Index (from 1970), Arts & Humanities Citation Index (from 1975), Conference Proceedings Citation Index (from 1990), and Emerging Sources Citation Index (from 2015).
1. BIOSIS Previews combines journal content from Biological Abstracts with supplemental, non-journal coverage from Biological Abstracts/RRM (Reports, Reviews, Meetings).
2. Scopus is a broadly based database: good for interdisciplinary subjects, searching for authors and tracking down citations. Its interface is flexible and easy to use.
3. Web of Knowledge also provides broad coverage and good author and citation searching. It includes Science Citation Index, Index to Conference Proceedings and Journal Citation Reports.
Produced by the Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), this database is a comprehensive information discovery tool for chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, nanotechnology, and physics.
It offers access to the CAS database Chemical Abstracts (1947-present), Registry (1957-present), and CASREACT (from journals, 1985-present from patents, 1991-present). Users may search citations to chemistry literature by topic, author, CAS Registry Number, patent number, and CAS abstract number. Chemical substances may be searched by chemical name, structure, CAS Registry Number, and formula.
By accessing SciFinder, users are agreeing to adhere to CAS Academic User Terms of Use and End User Licence
Access to SciFinder is provided for educational and teaching purposes only.
Scraping content from SciFinder for computational analysis is outside the scope of the licence held with CAS. "Computational analysis" is defined as any processing of content using LLMs, generative AI or other forms of AI analysis. This restriction applies to all projects, including dissertations, and all SciFinder content should be deleted from personal computers if it has been scraped for this purpose.
