Biosciences

Welcome

Wishing you a friendly welcome, we're ready to support you to succeed in your studies, teaching or research.
As the liaison librarian for biosciences, I support all students and staff, from undergraduate to experienced researchers, associated with biosciences disciplines. Contact me for help with finding, using, and evaluating library resources as well as referencing support and using the referencing management software, EndNote.
Staff can also contact me about providing teaching on their module or support with resources.
Enjoy your time at the University of Liverpool!

Databases for Life Sciences

1. BIOSIS Previews combines journal content from Biological Abstracts with supplemental, non-journal coverage from Biological Abstracts/RRM (Reports, Reviews, Meetings).

2. Scopus is a broadly based database: good for interdisciplinary subjects, searching for authors and tracking down citations.  Its interface is flexible and easy to use.

3.  Web of Knowledge also provides broad coverage and good author and citation searching.  It includes Science Citation Index, Index to Conference Proceedings and Journal Citation Reports.
