Additional bookable study spaces in the School of Law and Social Justice

by University of Liverpool Library on 2020-10-23T11:24:00+01:00 | 0 Comments

As you will know, to keep all students and staff safe when using the libraries, we have introduced a booking system to allow users to book a socially distanced study space in one of our libraries or the Victoria Gallery & Museum building.

Due to the popularity of this new system, and to allow more students to book study spaces on campus, we are pleased to say that the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences has been working with us to open up additional study spaces in the fully accessible, newly refurbished School of Law and Social Justice building, just across from the Sydney Jones Library.

Opening will be Monday – Friday 08:45-17:15 until the end of October with the aim of hopefully extending these hours as necessary until face-to-face teaching on campus resumes. The Faculty are currently piloting spaces across five floors to facilitate online lecture attendance.

It is essential that you book a space in advance and check-in when you arrive using the QR code or the link in your confirmation email, otherwise spaces will be released for other students to book 30 minutes after your booking begins. You can book up to 10 hours per week, per person, in order to ensure that as many students as possible can access the space.

Bookings are open to all students from all subjects if you are having difficulty accessing Wi-Fi or an adequate PC, in which case using the space will support your attendance at online lectures. The study spaces are mostly desk-only, so we advise that you bring headphones and a laptop if you have one, but there is a PC Suite available on the 1st Floor if required.

We hope you find the space useful in supporting your studies and to find out more about the support available from the Library this semester, visit our Getting Started with the Library page.
