Your University Libraries are here to support you this summer and beyond

by Emma Taylor on 2025-05-22T11:06:54+01:00 | 0 Comments

Get ready for fantastic library access as we transition to our summer opening hours.

The Harold Cohen Library (HCL) will continue to offer 24/7 access right up until 11 July when it will then be open from Monday to Friday 9am to 9pm and Saturday to Sunday 9am to 6pm.

From 2 June, the Sydney Jones Library (SJL) will be open Monday to Sunday 9am to 6pm, offering a consistent and reliable study space throughout the summer.

Following user feedback, the University will also offer overnight study space during the summer months.

From 12 July to 14 September 2025, you will be able to access dedicated overnight study spaces in the 502 Teaching Hub building. This new addition will provide even more flexible study environments throughout the summer months.

Looking ahead to the 2025-2026 academic year, we're pleased to confirm that from September 2025, the SJL will be open from 8am to 10pm during term time, and the much-appreciated 24/7 library space will continue to be available in the HCL. Plus, for those crucial May assessments, the SJL will also offer overnight access.

We're committed to providing the best possible resources and study spaces to support your academic journey.
