Library Click & Collect Service and Book Returns

by University of Liverpool Library on 2020-07-13T15:16:00+01:00 | 0 Comments

Updated 10/08/20 due to changes to the service.

The Library is now offering a Click & Collect service which allows you to reserve printed items from our collections to collect from the Library. There are appropriate social distancing and hygiene measures in place in the Library to ensure that the service is safe and easy to use.

The process for reserving an item through Click & Collect is simple, just follow the steps below:

  1. Search the Library catalogue for the item that you wish to reserve to check if there are printed copies available.
  2. Reserve an item using the ‘Reserve for Click & Collect’ button at the top of the page and complete the request form. You will be prompted to login and may need to create an account using your University ID number if you haven’t done so already.
  3. Check your emails – you will receive an email confirmation when your items are available to collect with collection instructions.
  4. Collect your items from the Sydney Jones Library or Harold Cohen Library (check your confirmation email). The collection service is available 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday and all reserved items will be held for 3 working days.
  5. Enjoy your books!

Book returns

All books on loan can now be returned to either the Harold Cohen Library or the Sydney Jones Library between 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday. All loans have, however, been extended until 30th September 2020 so you do not need to return your books immediately if you are not able to visit the Library.

Next steps

We are currently working on the next stages of reopening and we are hoping to offer more services very soon. We will be sharing updates on our Twitter and Instagram but in the meantime, if you have any questions or need support, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us using our online chat.
