Library services during the Christmas period

During the winter break, study spaces will be open and you will be able to access and borrow books from the shelves.

Helpdesks in the libraries will be closed from 24th December to the 4th January so if you need support, please access support via our online enquiry service.

All of our online resources such as databases, e-books and e-journals will continue to be available 24 hours a day via the library website as well as KnowHow Acedmic Skills online tutorials. Access the tutorials via the KnowHow: Study for success module on Canvas:

Student Support

The Student support team, including the Mental Health Advisory Service and Counselling Team, will be in the KnowHow room in the Sydney Jones Library between 10am and 2pm on Wednesday 29th, Thursday 30th and Friday 31st December.

Drop in on the Wednesday or Friday for support from the team if you need it. On Thursday 30th, the team will be delivering an activity session including coffee and cake for anyone who wants some company and doesn’t have any plans on the day.

Keeping everyone safe

It is important that you continue to adhere to our health and safety policies when using the libraries. You are required to wear a face mask inside the libraries, unless you are medically exempt from doing so, and you must also practise social distancing.

We hope you all have a lovely and restful Christmas break.
