The University has recently approved a new Research Publications and Copyright policy. The new policy, which will apply to research articles and conference papers submitted by University of Liverpool staff to publishers from 1st March 2023, will allow researchers to retain the rights to make their scholarly journal and conference papers available on an open access basis.
The policy has been developed as part of a joint approach between the N8 consortium of research-intensive universities in the north of England. By making it easier for work to be made openly available, the policy will allow researchers, readers and wider society to enjoy the benefits of open research.
