MS.Ed.7-10 Antiphonal (fragments). Ferrara(?) c.1470-1480.

Contents: Four separate leaves from the same volume - an Italian Antiphoner.

Decoration: Each leaf has a large historiated initial: P: Christ showing his wounds (foliated in red lxxv); I: Christ standing (ccxi); I: putto head and scroll, In natale apostolorum; I: the Holy Sacrament (cxxxix). The first two initials attributable to the illuminator Antonio Maria Sforza, according to MERT, citing Canova (plates 145-149).

Provenance 1450-1500: Likely to be from the Benedictine monastery of Santa Giustina at Padua (MMM1993, 24). 

Provenance 1919?-1919?: Acquired by Sir C. Sydney Jones from Young's for the School of Education Library, University of Liverpool. Later transferred to the University Library.
