Decoration: Ten 12-line pictures in Hours of the B.V.M., before penitential Psalms and before Office of the Dead; smaller picture of John the Evangelist; continuous borders with grotesques; initials: red or blue on blue or red with gold paint; 1- and 2-line gold paint on red or blue; capital letters filled in yellow-brown; line fillers mostly red and gold. Three side borders.
Binding: Contemporary blind-stamped brown leather, with fleur-de-lys and fish tools in vertical rows.
Provenance 1550-1650: Early 16th century note of ownership by 'Marguerite Jacobe femme de Anthoine du Boys, merchant at Châlons'.
Provenance 1625-1625: note of gift to 'ma fille marguerite Caills(?)' of 'ces presentes heures ce iourdhui 20 fevriers(?) 1625 ... Caills'
