Contents: Use of Paris. Written for use by a woman.

Decoration: Eleven 11-line pictures: 9 in Hours of the B.V.M. (picture for vespers missing) and 1 before penitential Psalms and the Office of the Dead; four smaller pictures in the Gospel sequences; with continuous framed floral borders. Initials: blue patterned in white on gold and colours, 2-line blue or pink patterned in white on gold and colours, with floral borders in outer margin; 1-line gold on blue or pink patterned in white. With flowers and fruit on gold on f.2. 24. 43v. Capital letters filled with yellow; line fillers of red and blue with white and gold.

Binding: 18th century red morocco lettered 'Missale romanum' and bird and shell devices of Thomas Rawlinson (1681-1725).

Provenance date unknown: Two sets of arms appear separately and together on 28r, 66r, 113r and 132v.
