SPEC ALR.A.2.2.39

Aleyn Lyell Reade (1876-1953) was born at Blundellsands, the youngest son of Thomas Mellard Reade.

His literary and genealogical interests were focussed particularly on the early life of Samuel Johnson and led to the publication of several privately-printed publications, notably the 11-volume series Johnsonian Gleanings (1909-1952).
