Some 70 pamphlets, prints, cuttings and programmes relating to Shakespeare 1864-1929, collected by Miss Lilian Hall.
Subjects of the ephemera include portraits of Shakespeare, Shakespeare festivals, BBC broadcasts, Shakespearean actors, particularly Henry Irving and Ellen Terry, and the popular reception of Shakespeare.
In addition to reprinted articles and papers read to literary societies, the collection includes the British Academy Shakespeare lectures 1911-1928, copies of the Shakespeare Review (1928) and reports of the Shakespeare Club (1928-1929).
