Celebrate with us

This festive season we may not be able to celebrate in all of the usual ways, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t still enjoy some festive fun. For those of you who are still on campus and visiting the libraries, you’ll see that we have Christmas Trees in both libraries to brighten up your study sessions and add a sprinkle of festive cheer.

We are also running our Secret Santa display in both libraries for the second year running. Take home a present from the shelf and unwrap a surprise book to read over the holidays!

What book will you get? Something from our staff selection of new and classic fiction? Perhaps an inspiring autobiography? Or an amazing art book full of interesting perspectives? Simply take a present from the shelf and issue it at the self-issue machines (don't look at the screen if you want to keep the surprise!)

That’s not all, we also have a selection of Christmas-themed literature on the shelves for you to take home and a Christmas reading list with lots of festive reading and viewing to keep you entertained!

Coming soon

Although we have still been here for you throughout this year, we have missed being able to engage with you in the usual way. As an additional sprinkle of cheer, keep an eye out on our Instagram for the return of our popular ‘Libmas’ giveaway competition! You could be in with a chance of winning some great prizes for you and your friends this Christmas!

(N.B. All books used in displays have been quarantined for three days before being displayed to ensure COVID safety).
