Items on display in this exhibition represent the breadth of the collections held here: they include donations from former students of the University, and their families; donations to the Cunard archive; books from the library of a member of a prominent Liverpool family; items from the Institute of Popular Music Archive; and books and magazines from the Science Fiction Collections.
The accessions span materials varied in ages, genre, size and subject. They are chosen for their ability to contribute directly to research and teaching, to enrich our knowledge of the history of the University and its place in the city, and to compliment and strengthen existing collections.
