To access Library eresources, please visit Library Web pages, then supply your UoL username and password when prompted after visiting links to databases, journals, ebooks etc. Note - for help with connectivity, VPN or similar issues please also see our Connectivity and VPN FAQ below. Please Note, UoL systems now use 'Duo' SMS based authentication, this involves registering a mobile device and inputting an SMS sent to your mobile for additional authentication.
As an online member of staff working with the University of Liverpool, you are issued with a login (username and password) to access Library resources and other networked facilities such as university email, software and campus workstations (including physical and remote desktop access).
The University of Liverpool has also launched the Outputs Development Hub to support research staff across all stages of creating research outputs. The Hub provides guidance on planning, writing, publishing, and dissemination, with resources on REF, impact, non-traditional outputs, and career progression. It also signposts internal and external training opportunities.
Alumni/ graduates of the University can apply for ongoing access to borrow physical items (this borrowing option requires UK residency), please note, this category of membership does not provide some wider inter-Library/document supply services.
Alumni can also access drop-in access to our full Library E-Resources, if you are travelling from a distance you are advised to discuss your visit before hand with the relevant Library.
