New Remote Desktop service

The University has launched a new service to allow you to access a UoL campus PC remotely: https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/csd/pc-centres/remote

This service provides access to the Windows desktop of the remote PC (including network applications and your network storage/ M drive).

You will need to complete a Web form to use the service, then log in using your UoL (MWS) login credentials. You will be prompted to save a shortcut to your device, when you follow the shortcut this will begin your remote desktop session.

You can also use the service to access Library databases and E-Resources (this may be useful if you experience connectivity difficulties). For support using the service to access Library resources, please contact your librarian.

To access the service see: https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/csd/pc-centres/remote For further help using campus software and network storage, see: https://Liverpool.ac.uk/csd

You can also see a link to the remote desktop service in the Library for Online Programmes, see the Support > Connectivity area or Apps and Library Tools > Cloud Apps and VPN

Note - you can also download a wide range of software such as Microsoft Office 365, SPSS and NviVo for installation on your own device (see https://libguides.liverpool.ac.uk/online/software).
